I have a new niece. This one is a great niece and her name is Caprice Diana Boros. She is my niece Kari's daughter. Caprice makes niece number 7. I still only have one nephew and he is a great nephew in every way. It doesn't matter though because they are all great to have. Caprice was born on Dec 5 and weighed 7 lbs 16 ozs. Yes, that's what the nurses told Kari. I guess maybe that means she weighed 8 lbs.

More snow and colder temps coming. Supposedly -30 in the next few days. This is for all those whiners who complained that they couldn't use there snowmobiles the last few years.

Christmas is slowly working its way toward us. Then there are those people who go "I've finished shopping, have you?" (Imagine that with a lot of sarcasm and nasally tone to it, repeated by me.) I hate those people.

Hockey is going full steam now. Tyrell is moved back to forward and got 6 goals on the weekend at a tournament. The team finished 2nd with a 2 wins, 1tie and 1 loss record. I think he had fun. He got to hang out at a friends house and didn't have to come home. I got to hang out with Darnell. He is struggling with roommate issues but I'm sure they will work themselves out soon. He is going to Calgary on the weekend to see his girlfriend Julia dance. She is at the U of Calgary in the Alberta School of Ballet. Only 5 girls were excepted this year for the program. She is a very good dancer.

My niece Kari is due with her 3rd baby on December 12. Tyrell is hoping for a birthday baby for him. Darnell already has a cousin born on his birthday. My niece Charlie was born on his 8th birthday.

Well here we are in the midst of 2 feet of snow!! The buses were cancelled on Monday and we enjoyed an extra day at home, sort of. The cows were pushing snow with their chests. They were very eager to get home from the lease so we moved them that day. They sure didn't wander too far, in fact they raced the tractor home.
Tyrell's hockey regular season is getting underway on Saturday, although they have played a few games already. Winning 2 losing 2. He will probably be playing defense this year although he has never been on defense before, most of his teammates cannot skate backward very well, so he is been moved back. I am hoping he won't lose his speed on defense. Norm Foster is his coach and he seems pretty happy about that. Ron is helping out too. Winter is fun, especially when school is cancelled.

Fall. . . time to get busy!! Although combining is over, (what there was to combine with only about 3 inches of rain since we put the crop in and 25 -30+ degree temps all summer) with the start of school brings work and sports, and sports. It isn't quite as bad now with only one high schooler, Tyrell is trying out for volleyball and hockey as well as working part time. Thank goodness for drivers licenses or I'd be running alot. Now his truck needs a new motor so he's driving my truck!! Life. Fun, fun, fun.

So this is my first attempt at a blog. Here we all are just a few pictures taken just before my in-laws 50th anniversary. Darnell has dyed his hair black and is now 19, living in Grande Prairie and working in a cleaning business. Tyrell is going into grade 12 and is 16. He just wants to play hockey. Well, mostly. Doesn't Ronnie look thrilled to be having family pictures taken.
